    Pupil premium students make up 25% of the school population.

    Closing the gap with pupil premium students is one of the key priorities of the school improvement plan. The objectives include:

    1. A whole school focus on pupil premium students, interventions and outcomes.
    2. Ensure all provision is of the highest quality and value for money for PP spending
    3. Raise student ownership over own progress by boosting self-belief and aspirations
    4. Link Governor to be aware of all PP progress and student voice.

    Funding is spent to support students in a wide variety of ways, with the majority of the resourcing coming from staffing.

    Staffing costs – account for 92.5% of spending

    • Small group interventions English, Maths, SEN
    • Extra teaching staffing for core subjects
    • Pastoral Support staffing including re-integration from exclusion support
    • Alternative Curriculum staffing
    • Weekend extra revision classes for KS4

    Equipment costs – account for 4% of spending

    • Revision guides
    • Basic equipment including dictionaries to all PP students
    • School trip financial support
    • Uniform financial support
    • Music Tuition financial support

    Alternative learning pathways - account for 3.5% of spending

    • BCOT 3 day programmes
    • BCOT 1 day VSP programmes
