Aims and philosophy of the department

The Aldworth Drama department is dedicated to providing pupils with engaging, practical lessons with a focus on creativity and performance skills. Students have one lesson of Drama each week in key stage three and can opt to take the subject further at key stage four through GCSE Drama.

The department is committed to giving pupils as many opportunities as possible to take part in extra-curricular Drama. Each year there is one musical and one drama performance, along with a variety of opportunities to be involved in showcases of talent. The department has forged good relationships with local theatres in order for our pupils to have the chance of performing in a professional environment.

    Department Personnel

The Drama department consists of three drama specialist teachers, all of whom are passionate about delivering enjoyable and practical lessons to our pupils.
