Moving from junior school to ‘big school’ is often a mix of excitement and concern for students and parents; here at Aldworth we try our very hardest to minimise the worry and maximise the excitement of students.
The first step in preparing your child for the move is our Open Events which offer students the chance to roam the site and meet staff and students. This is usually followed up by a school tour where they are able to see the school in action during a normal day. These two events alone help to allay many fears and ramp up the excitement – but that’s only the start of the journey.
In Year 5, students are offered the chance to join us in one of our Taster Days.

Open Evening
Wednesday 27 September 2023
5.00pm – 8.00pm
In September, we are hosting our annual Open Evening.
Everyone is invited to this walk-in event which will have activities, tours and a Headteacher talk.
- The school site will be open from 17:00 – school tour and visit to departments available
- Please arrive at Reception for information and/or a tour guide. Last tour is at 7pm
- Headteacher’s talks are at 18:00 and 19:00 in Main Hall
- No need to book a place!
Open Morning

- School Tours
We would like to invite you to join us for a tour of the School during the working school day.
The tours will run each day Monday 9 October 2023 to Friday 13 October 2023 starting at 9am and 9.30am. To book a place on a tour, please use the form below.
- Year 5 Taster Days
We would like to invite your child to attend a ‘taster day’ to sample a typical day at the school. The taster day is designed to help prospective pupils gain a feeling for the school and take part in lessons and activities. Taster days are:
Wednesday 5 July 2023 – Kempshott Juniors and other junior schools
Thursday 6 July 2023 – Park View and other junior schools
