Restart a Heart Day
Year 10 students took part in the national 'Restart a Heart Day' joined by members of the South Central Ambulance, The Police and Fire Service
On Tuesday 16 October our Year 10 students took part in the national 'Restart a Heart Day'. We were joined by members of the South Central Ambulance Service, The Police and Fire Service.
The services provided free cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) training to all of our Year 10 students throughout the day.
If someone suffers a cardiac arrest, their chances of survival double if it happens in front of a bystander who immediately starts CPR before the arrival of the emergency services.
Our students thoroughly enjoyed learning about resuscitation and our visitors complimented them on their behaviour and interest in the event.
